Lol I like how you have buy parts in shops although there are clearly spare parts lying around in the safehouses.
Being back on topic, I might have an explanation for this. Since your crew already has mechanics who can modify your cars, you don't need to take your car to shops, you only need to have parts delivered to your safehouse.

autozone is on the fucking shopping cart screen. im 99% sure that it was defiantly the 4 autozone shops that were performance shops.

Maybe Autozone still sell you the parts, it just has the parts delivered to you instead of having the parts installed at the shop because like I said, you have already have mechanics in your team.

The castrol places are very undetailed and used as hiding spots. The car lot / safehouse/ autozone are very detailed.

Aammmm, i think all places in Carbon is undetailed Detailed buildings are buildings that have unique models and stand out so the player knows its interactive, like pursuit breakers and safehouses. Undetailed buildings are just flat copy pasted props.

Aammmm, i think all places in Carbon is undetailed The car lot and auto zone both have transparent windows with details inside. Also the car lot/auto zone/safehouse have unique models

At least the shops in Rockport are purposely placed near your safehouse. Well, the performance shops are purposefuly placed near car lots... Well, one is placed almost next to the car lot, so this is just more proof that these existed.

Autozone could work in same way as Aftermarket shop in MW, but BB changed it so Autozone send you requested parts into our garage. It's extended and better version of change parts option from UG2.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say, honestly, I think car shops were cut from the game and their functional remains were used for the customization part of the safehouse menu.

I don't see a time the beta requires more than the regular power, it indeed didn't have better graphics, just disabled motion blur which while driving gives the effects of high detailed streets and environment...I proved that by turning off motion blur in the final game. Tho the PS2 demo had a better sunset and night sky. I don't see a time the beta requires more than the regular power all of the nfs ps2 early version require more power due to the fact they are not optimised. the optimization takes place towards release.
