Yup, I'm creating a thread. What this thread basically is a collection of pictures (2 as of now, might delete this in the brackets later) which shows different stuff that I found interesting. And I'm not posting this in the normal "Blackbox era" theories because I don't see this as a theory but more as a finding/speculating (and if this becomes popular/more important than it is now then I'll move this into the other thread). After such a long introduction let me show you what I've found. On this billboard we can see a state, presumably Texas (in actuality this is the lower part of Texas), maybe Olympic city's location? On the second picture is the plane that flies over the airport, on it is written either "LA Airlines" or "EA Airlines" but I'm not sure for either one If somebody finds more like that post them here!

Interesting thought that I have, the coastal express drag from UG2 have somewhat an Olympic city vibe. For example the race is set in a train yard but one place in particullar (the oval one where trains switch tracks, don't know how it's called) looks pretty much the same as the one in Olympic city. Here's for comparison UG1 Drift and UG2 Street X tracks

If I zoom out to 30%, I could really see a comparison.

The Trainyards don't look the same at all.
The Drift Tracks of UG however are re-used and modified to fit Bayview's skyline and environment in UG2..

I know that the trainyards have nothing to do with each other but I wanted to mention those from UG1 (maybe as an inspiration for those in UG2). As for the drift tracks I wanted to post some pictures for comparison, I know that they're reused. It's not a new information.

Now to start things up (again) I want to show some comparisons, then some new/undiscovered stuff (I think it's undiscovered) and then some miscaleneous pics. Comparisons: Those billboards are from UG1 and UG2 as you already know but I figured why not show them to you. BTW if you find more assets re used in UG2 please tell me New Suff: Miscaleneous: A play on the word "unlucky", very clever Blackbox! Is this supposed to be an airport parking or the runway? Why does this sign is under the building with the same sign? Why some buildings have a roof, whreas other do not? Is this where TJ works? And it's called Big Lou (nfs mw confirmed!!!11!69 We're not welcomed apparently Well that's all that I've found for now. EDIT: Here's something from UG2 too: Just the skybox without any effects, it kinda looks like it's daytime. Don't look at the minimap I am far away to the northwest from there!

Some buildings don't have roof because you don't get to see the roofs in the game. The sign is probably put there and wasn't deleted because they didn't think anybody would see it.
Wasn't there this statue where a man is riding a horse? The statue is reused from UG to UC.

I have seen the statue only in UG1, can you show me where it is in the other games?

I have seen the statue only in UG1, can you show me where it is in the other games? I remember it can be seen on the outskirts of Beacon Hill, the middle of Downtown Rockport and the outskirts of port cresent in Tri-city Bay PS2/Wii version.

Here are some pictures of the horse statue in UG1, UG2 and MW: Thanks to Blackweed for letting me know! BTW why does Olympic square race feel so lively, rich and diverse? I think it's because of it being the first race you play in the game. Give your opinion/theory on the subject if you want.

Industrial Park (Street X track) is completely reused (AKA it has the same scenery, modified to fit Bayview's skyline and environment in UG2 but nothing else) but no idea about the rest of the closed tracks, though you should know better since I haven't really played UG1 a lot.

I'll keep delving in the game deeper and deeper, finding and posting new stuff. And maybe something will come out in the end.

Some buildings don't have roof because you don't get to see the roofs in the game. The sign is probably put there and wasn't deleted because they didn't think anybody would see it. But what about the buildings that have roof? The skyscrapers are tall and don't need roof, some buildings are only seen from bridges and that's why they have roof. But what about that building on my picture, it can't be seen from anywhere high? The only explanation I can think of is that it is reused and can be seen somewhere else in the city.

The devs probably split to develop different parts of the map, so I don't expect consistency in map design.

Another update, this time it's on the drift/drag maps (it's actually worlds or as I call them skyboxes, more on that later). *BIG PICTURES/A LOT OF INFORMATION INCOMING* Docks drft track, 14th and Vine and Mainstreet drags (Skybox 1): Parkade drift track and Highway 1 drag (Skybox 2): Commercial drag - completely standalone (Skybox 3): Skyboxes: What about those skyboxes, you may ask? What about them, they're nothing special, they create those 3 distinct skies - Night, Dawn and Industrial yellow. Some may argue that Sky 1 and 2 are the same and maybe they're right but for me they look different, is it because of the lighting? My theory why the tracks were split is because the skyboxes have their limit in size, so putting everything in one skybox will lead to overlapping. Another thing I want to point out is why the highway drag is called "Higway 1"? Were there more highways, was at least on of those tracks in the industrial skybox? There is so much to theorise on! I think that Mainstreet, 14th and Vine an Highway 1 may be connected and I think that because of their surroundings. Like the train bridge which appears on 14th and on the highway, or the start of both Mainstreet and 14th being in the city center. Fun fact: Did you know that the player is the trigger for the animated props mentioned above? The game works like that when the player and only the player is near one of them they will activate, no other NPC racer nor traffic can activate them. That's why the train in mainstreet activates when you're near it no matter if you're 1st or last, the same applies for the plane at the airport. The traffic acts roughly the same. If the player moves so the traffic, but if he stops the traffic will go on till it despawns and because the player isn't moving traffic won't spawn (it'll try though, use the debug cam and you'll see). That's all that I have this time and I know it's long, still I covered 3 skyboxes worth of tracks. And thanks to gRiM 's comment that indirectly gave me this idea.
