It was still to do with Carbon though... Just with a bit of Initial D in it. Yeah, they are so totally related! ...not. The only franchise BB-era NFS actually copied was FnF.

Well uh it Carbon had the canyon racing element which, whatever way you look at it, is relatively similar to touge (canyon races in Carbon are similar if not the same concept as the cat and mouse style race in Initial D, s1 ep18...) which is featured in Initial D. I'm not saying that they copied Initial D, but lets get back to the topic before this thread gets the lock.

gross, the height of that mustang and the inertia it must have would make it impossible to do what it did above rofl. also we know that carbon uses the name "touge" for the canyon race test tracks so we know that it's based on the japanese racing style more than fnf and initial d... well at the very least they did do research

You can clearly see the pattern though. NFSU and NFSU2 = FnF NFSMW = FnF2 NFSC = FnF3 NFSUC = FnF4 The games and their respective movies they sorta "copy" do share similar traits.

it's ok, they used carbon fiber body, titanium chasis and pure gold as underseal. The original "Touge" is something that both initial D and Tokyo Drift built their races on, it would've been normal for carbon devs to do the same.

No man, NFS UG1 was based more on 2F2F (it had 2 bridges from whom you can jump off, 2!!! Even the movie didn't have the budget for two). Well the cars and customisation could be argued that it's based on FF1. UG2 is heavily based on 2F2F. And from there you're pretty much right.

I know that the trailer at least used car sounds from Fast and Furious... You just gotta hear the Eclipse (That is if I remember correctly about the Eclipse I haven't seen the trailer in ages)

I got a feeling that the new NFSes will take inspiration from the new fnf movies.

That remains to be seen. BB did their own take on them over the course of years, but PB made it quite clear that this time around it was inspired by The Crew.
Also, I really wonder what will happen after FnF will be over. There are only 1 or 2 more movies to be released and their job is done.

They've said that they'll make up to 10 movies. But, as I see it, as long as it makes money, they'll keep making more. The same way Michael Bay does with the Transformers movies. They suck but what is important is they make a lot of money.

I got a feeling that the new NFSes will take inspiration from the new fnf movies. Well, so far at least I haven't seen a tank or anyone driving on ice while running from some crazy nuclear weapons so uh I think I'll happily say no to that one...

Just the super car chases and everything similar

From what I've seen NFS PB's job missions are looking like some action scenes from the newer F&F movies. NFS Undercover and The Run reminded me of F&F but they were something completely different and most importantly new. PB on the other hand is trying really hard. Ghost are seen what sells and what younger audiences like (big explosions, no plot, boobs, everyone likes boobs, cool cars, bald guys in tank tops). Rather than experimenting they're using a familiar formula for making hype and therefore money.

Also, bout the audience, ever since Ghost took over the games have always felt FAR more childish to me. BB's (and actually, Criterion's HP2010 and MW2012) games always had a mature touch to them, which made them enjoyable for both kids and adults. PB from what I've seen to far tries to somehow mix both serious/intense action with a childish atmosphere/feel, which is nothing but laughable to me . Same thing that fucked with my mind when NFS 2015 came out.

Hello everyone, I was researching about the beta, I saw a Speedyheart video in which he cites that he had a Honda CBR motorcycle file, so I came to the conclusion that the bike could be a reward card, also the name ' 'Need for Speed Underground 3' 'maybe because the game could have neon and also because the game is the night and I came to see a long time ago a video that showed the cars with neon but the video unfortunately went off the air. I also found this image
