The bridge you mention isn't the turnpike, the turnpike is much more to the east according to NFS World, the bridge you see on an early concept map of Rockport is a train track.
The bonus trailer included with the Black Edition Bonus Disc is an animated cinamatic, it's not actual gameplay nor it was supposed to be.

Actually the cars accelerated about the same except for the M3 GTR, they slowed it down 'cause normally in a demo, you start out with below average to average cars. Starting out with one of the fastest cars in the game is kinda pointless. And the 3 pictures with the Porsche 911 are interesting, but that wasn't even official gameplay. It was just like the intro to Porsche Unleashed basically. Good topic though, maybe we'll get more info soon. EDIT: You should really check this out, it's from the same video that the Porsche was on: ![]() ( if that picture is broken I'll just leave a link here ) Apparently at that point in development, one of the racers' names was Eddie Chang, born on August 16th 1965 in PA, and his nickname was Dust. I'm not sure if he's supposed to be the player or not, but still pretty interesting/ |
