Is the Mazda RX-8 from the comics style cutscene has any related to Rachel's old RX-8 car? At 5:20 you will see a red car with some kind of flame vinyl also at 5 :13 to the left of the cutscene there is a small photo with the RX-8 there. At 9:04 and 9 :14 there is the deleted Nismo vinyl on the 350z(only for cutscene purpouse). At 10:29 you will see a 99 Eclipse with the U1 license plate and strange it has dual exhaust. At 11:18 there are 2 more cars a 300ZX and Lexus GS400 (probably). And last Caleb beta car was the Mustang GT not the Pontiac GTO seen at 13:29. Don't think the 2 RX-8 are related. The one in the cutscene looks quite different from the actual car.

I found some debug print function and attempted to make some implementation by writing everything to a file. It looks like it's all UI related stuff, but it's interesting nonetheless. here's a log from a short playing session (with all the garbage filtered from it): pastebin.com/sBDNLeJbIt's mostly fed with garbage data so I'm not sure if it is also used to do something else. The return value also has some effect, but I haven't had any success with that yet. The function is at 0x50D510 and is nulled to always return 0

Here you see 1-10-nfs_u2_mw-BRAKELIGHT_GLASS_DAMAGE.dds coverted to JPEG. As I get tailassed by opponents and vice-versa, it isn't used. There's "mw," so it could be a left-over from MW; I heard cop remains in UG2 PS2 demo possibly being MW left-overs. No cracks can be seen as it has low resolution. When hit tail-lights stow glowing is my speculation.

When hit tail-lights stow glowing is my speculation. u2_mw means what nfs game texture compression method it used (it's nfsu360's texture exporting name system) not on what nfsses the texture was available. For example, NFSC can use DXT5 and argb textures so it will be named with nfs_c_ps. MW and UG2 can use some textures with the method DXT1, DXT3 , P8 and some more i didnt type here.

no it depends on the tpk format, ug2 and mw both have the same TPK version, so do nfsc/ps/undercover. this means you can load tpk's from one game in another if its the same version.
also no cracks can be seen because its the exact same texture. go modify the one on the right and go check ingame when they get damaged :)

Hello! New member in this whole NFST board, i just wanted to put this up to ask if anybody noticed peculiar info: each car lot has different inventory? having to do some exploration to find the ride you want? now that i definitely remember not being in final game.

Checked the car lot of the PC demo as well and it's the same exact text. Either the early idea of car lots was cut pretty late or was just a copy-paste from UG2 demo, my ventured guesses could be completely wrong, so feel free to correct me about this.
