So,I know,I've been inactive for a while,because of school,but I'm back with a new thread. In one of my previous threads of my previous account,I've already talked about a scrapped track,the ID 1101 which is supposedly a sprint test. It was removed from the globalb.bun file's track id list,but the developers still have left some of the code,that I could use to re-create it. If we open the DYNTEX file in the NFS Tex-Ed,we can see that there's something called TRACK_1101_SPLINE: If we continue browsing around the files,we'll find the barrier/start/finishline data of the track in the STREAML1RA.BUN file(only a small bit of the start/finishline texture data is shown): So,from this point,we can re-create the track if we have some patience: As you can see on the video,the track only has one barrier,no reset zones,one finishline,one startline.It's a pretty short track,but it's perfect for testing purposes.

They still use the ZPM system going all the way up to prostreet. its how they define objects / locations.

Great, so it was possible to restore it after all, albeit slightly flawed. I can see why it was cut though, its very short.
I wonder if we could do something similar with the other NFS games with leftovers of cut tracks inside.

I wonder if we could do something similar with the other NFS games with leftovers of cut tracks inside. many other tracks in other games have been restored such as the ug2 ones from the demo ported to the pc game (mw ones will come at a later date once the different hash system is figured out) carbon has had all of the cut races fixed (this includes barriers facing in the wrong direction in the cut tracks) prostreet has the demo e3 events (the e3 demo uses the same events as the pc demo) however there is a ps2 demo of prostreet which could have more... but i'm unsure if it ever got released outside of the studio... undercover is a mystery because everything is just named shittly so nobody even wants to deal with figuring out what event is what...(however there are some debug races but GOOD LUCK)

Just aligned the track to the map as best as I could and it seems that the area changed slightly from the map icon to the final. Seems like there was a street that wasn't on the map or just removed from the final. Not fully sure though.

The map is fully fake,even if the whole city is explorable,the roads behind the reset zones are unfinished

And the barriers and the other similar stuff can be fixed,if you want to know how,send me a pm

new tracks can be added. i created a new id entirely and it worked however maybe extra options was unlocking the track (i dont know how track unlocks work in ug1 there appear to be flags by the race entries but you probably already know what they all mean)

For some reason only duplictes work for me,and in the case of duplicates,it loads the TRACKB file of the original track.
