H The traffic of NFS: Underground comprised of a stepvan, van, pickup, SUV and sedan. We all know that these were copied from the PS2 port of HP2. In HP2, traffic cars changed color unlike the Underground series; the selection consisted of the stepvan, the pickup, the SUV, 2 hatchbacks, a coupe, a minivan, the van, the sedan alongside an Audi A4 B5-like taxi. What I'm not sure about is the A4 taxi had a non-taxi variant. In Underground's development, there was a firetruck, bus and an ambulance. Plus, different textures were applied to the cars. Most of the cut non-racer cars along retail-version ones were present in the GBA port of Underground 1 and 2: VW Golf 2 hatchback, pickup, stepvan, firetruck, ambulance, coupe/sedan, bus. Cars were color-changeable , except the firetruck and ambulance.
My prediction on this is that BlackBox couldn't add color-change feature, because it caused bugs or it wasn't their preference for the game or forgotten.

Perphaps or they wanted the cars to have only one texture for design issues.
