I'm looking at the pictures from Page 2 and 3 and... Wow. These locations do not even exist in nfsc, wtf?

I assume mystery city, just like every other panorama/graphic, disappears because of how the game handles the overworld, things appear only from certain points and then disappear so it runs smooth. If we could turn that off and increase view distance that would help.

How can mystery city makes the game doesnt run smooth? Theres one race in Carbon that ONLY can spawn 10 opponents (i forget the name) that i dont know why and its on my XBOX,and the game runs smooth.And how a low poly texture can make the game dont run smooth?

NFS, You do realise the fact that, back in 2007 the most highest pc build was a 512mb graphics card PC with 2gb ram right? back then pc's were low af, soo Blackbox realised the fact that making another high ass detailed city would make your pc burn, soo they decided to nuke mystery city and leave it as a "dead meme" or just as a bunch of textures.

If they made it an actual city it wouldn't really harm your performance. It would be still displayed as a bunch of low res textures from afar.

No, you didn't get my point. The game loads certain objects only if you're in the corresponding location. When you leave it, they disappear. For example, mystery city can be looked at from a canyon, that's it's load location, if you get too far from it (eg. to see mystery city closely) the textures disappear because you're no longer in it's load location. That's at least how I think the game works.
