Okay, so chances are you might already know this, but after some searching I couldn't find it anywhere. There seems to be no threads about it specifically, so I'll just put it here. As you may know, the map from Most Wanted '05 is based on an area in Maine. More specifically this area:  Now something you might not have known is that there's actually a street in Camden, ME that is called Bay View St.  Again, you might already know this, but I couldn't find it anywhere and it seems interesting. |

As far as I can see, Rockport Camden is much, much, much more industrial and does not look like a place tourists would visit.

I don't think that's where U2 got its city name...
the street is obviously named that because it's along the bay and offers a view on the bay = bay view.
The whole Bayview is located along the coast, wherever you're you have a view of the bay...except from the deep east...but you get the idea...Jackson Heights offers a view over the whole city and bay area.

Well, it's definitely not a 1:1 copy. Rosewood isn't there irl and Camden is a larger town than Rockport, but the general shape of the landmass is very similar.  Plus, there is a golf course nearby.  Link to the area on Google Maps: www.google.com/maps/@44.1960296,-69.0743751,14z |

I don't doubt it  and it does look similar and it's said to be based on Maine, now we know they meant the shape. Tho, a golf course is nothing rare in US cities, even small towns have golf courses and country clubs... |

Meh, I really don't know about this one. I always figured they got the Camden name from Camden, NJ, and Rockport...well I'm not really sure. There's a Rockport in Texas next to a place called Bayview too lol

There' are a few hotels named Bayview in where I live right now.
Getting suprised at seeing the word Bayview as the name of a place in real life is like getting suprised at seeing a guy named Darius.

In Poland you have lots of Dariuses(Dariusz i polish version of the name, spelled Dariush) ConverseFox there is Cross street there, aswell |
