After some time I am ready to release the real map of NFS Underground 1. So a small backstory about the map. The project was started a week ago and finished 2 days ago but because I was a bit busy I am releasing it now. The red line indicates the canals and the orange ones indicate where a potential road may be. In other words if I were to connect two roads which are unconnected and really close to each other. All of the drag races are orange because, let's be honest here, they're not made to fit anywhere. But (and that's a big butt) Highway 1 is the closest to a real location. This road could be argued is Highway 1 and I agree to a certain degree. The stadium in the drag is round, where the one seen in the "main world" (yes, I didn't think of a better name for it. If you have a better one say it) Now about Mainstreet drag, it could be argued that it is in one of two places. The first one being where I put it or down, against the bus terminal (across the bridge there's a road leading to a park*). I think it's there because the Mainstreet ends in some sort of a park Because 14th and Vine drag ends near the industrial area but the race selection screen shows it ending near the airport terminal, I've mirrored the track and now it's facing Port Royal (aka the industrial area). I placed the Docks drift near the prison because it was the only free place and it's near the ocean as it should be. The Parkade drift I placed between 14th and Vine and Mainstreet because next to Drift Track 6's start there's the same building as the one seen in 14th and Vine (the big green and blue lit building) The dark gray area around the airport is the hill that the tunnel leading to the city goes under. And from what I've gathered (and speculated a bit) I can conclude that the runway should be right behind the airport terminal. *I'm not sure if that's a park but it looks like one The map is finished but I may change something later down the line. Let me know what you think.

The one and only truly reasonable UG1 map by Kacpa2 and GogoDG (with some help from me in terms of scaling): Both scaling and locations are correct.

gRiM Well it was by me basing it off from your reference map and keeping locations for the drift tracks that you had, if it was from GogoDG then yeah it was initial idea of his for that but i made map myself pretty much, fitting everything including all drag races as much as possible for it to make sense while stil be in there without conflicting with real OC from circuit races. It also adds all officially hinted road and makes proper use of most of the side roads, biggest being HWY1 and that tunnel highway coming to stadium bit and then back nex t to the station and that tunnel over pass next to it and to contructed bit near the airport(it will be finished in Project universe). It also helped me expand it to realistic size and to get new roads and connectors only HWY1 is a bit impactful to the skyline cuz it will go next to the statdium over ingame highway there but it shouldnt be an issue, it starts near china town as it should and ends in high end district while passing by the stadium so its fitting perfectly there.

I hope thatw orks, with Hwy 1 and the OC stadium. You'll replace the OC stadium or leave it and not place Hwy1's?

Doesn't one drag track ends at the bridge you see from Highway 1? Was it 14th & Vine? The Stadium looks and everyone knows very different...
I could imagine the Drag races happen in a different part of the districts, meaning City Centre is supposed to be bigger. The accessable highway shows signs to City Arena and City Centre - maybe City Arena is a different Stadium or the Stadium is a different one.
I even believe the Devs messed up the localizing and didn't know how to fix it.
Drag races appear to happen in a very accurate downtown area based on the design.

They based it on the normal Olympic city but they have their own mishaps and inconsistencies. They are too long for the city and the way Kacpa2 did it was the most logical way possible if you'd ask me.

Exactly, they don't match the actual city based on the map.
Though, they did add the drag section (street) onto the event map like the other roads in white.
I assume Olympic City became to small to have long enough straight streets and didn't build enough of the city to use streets and alleys.
They had to overcome this problem by building own drag courses based on the OC environment.
I wonder if the streets and avenues have same names

It wasn't hardware but just that Olympic City is too short and the specific streets and district environments were never built in Olympic City/the map. You just named the locations from the game map, but these locations are impossible. I researched the street names of two courses yet Market Street Streets of Chinatown (and partly Downtown) Taken from Market Street course The Race of Market Street begins on Smithe Street until the street splits you drive on Wallace Street down to the Tram and Mountainside after that you're on Kam Street heading to Market Street which begins after the City Plaza until the bridge after the jump you're on Smith Street again. Smithe Street Arndt Wallace Street Smithe Konopa Thurston Kam Street Gough Holder Arndt Market Street Willow Allan Joshua Cohoe Smithe Street Edwards Arndt Drag 14th and Vine 14th and Vine takes place on the Thurston Blvd, which is the 14th Street I assume. Streets are in order as you pass them in forward direction Thurston Blvd Arndt Cohoe Craske Gough Holder Rice Sikes Lao Wessels

However, it is obvious that each takes place in Downtown and Commercial in the industrial port area based on the environment. But the streets don't exist in the actual world. Actually, the street names have sense and a system It is questionable if this formula can be applied on drags though as they don't fit and exist in the city.

There are some street signs in game though. So some (not all) of the roads technically have names.

So far every street has a name based on the street sign at the light pole usually seen at crossing or dividing roads.
The City does name the streets as well, most of the time the Number of the street/Avenue etc though

There are some street signs in game though. So some (not all) of the roads technically have names. After I took a brief look on this picture, I realized the Highway 1 Drag happens in a different 'Olympic City' or a different district similiar to Chinatown and Downtown limits. See, the resevoir (lake) is not there on the map - it would be below the Highway 1, instead the Downtown area has a few more ystreets and the resevoir is replaced by solid ground - this matches with the downtown environment around Highway 1. Haven't noticed this before They actually copied certain city areas of the map outside the city with the largest being the lower Downtown and Highway section area.
