maybe its caused by mistakes in my translation but i dont feel like the plot is 'different from the original' in any way, its a follow-up to the plot from the games... So wait, you're saying that this is supposed to ALL happen after the actual MW and Carbon stories? Everything is mixed around so badly between NFSB and the actual games it's not even funny. Be careful there, from author's view this is what would happen after the stories in the games, but the story was never used like that and the actual story from the games have differences compared to what the book says... |

Hey. It's stated by the NEED FOR SPEED BOOK POLSKA (POLAND) that the book exists since 2007. How come it have never seen daylight in it's original form? It's stated that it was spread in electronic version since year 2007! And there were 1000 copies on paper! How come there is no one actually in possesion of it? No collectioners. Nothing! Just one site with 2 polish guys that "translated" something and an "original author" that no one ever spoke to... (You can contact him by writing to NFS Book Polska administration...)
I think this book and author aren't real. That all of this is written by some clever polish boys that want to make quick money.
I just tried to read it... It's so trivial. Like written by a 12-14 year old NFS maniac... I won't read it in any other form than original.

This is horribl. Absolutely horribl. If Lansky is indeed the author of this cheesy melodrama fanfic and that's exactly what's been written in these 1000 books, then I'm picking EA's side.
Ladies and gentlemen, I officially declare this a NFS equivalent of Star Wars Holiday Special. No wonder EA, like George Lucas in case of SW Holiday Special, didn't want this cancer to spread and kicked Lansky outta BB.

This story doesn't fit very well in NFS Blackbox Era.
From Intro in NFSC we assume that Player was young racer who try get respect from rivals and crews. Nikki was our girlfiend at this time. Darius was either a friend, or tried remove us from Palmont which he did. He shared his supra to big race where all Palmont watch it. He also tips the cops so Police didn't target at supra. He also direct a friend to switch the money bag with fake papier cuts. Darius started to be most powerful person in Palmont and build crew with all car classes.
After that Player reach Olympic City. He met Eastsiderz crew and their Leader Eddie. Eddie was sure that noob like player don't have a chance to be the best racer, but started winning races and eventually was forced to defeat Kurt, Chad and Todd before they let him challenge Eddie. Player defeat Eddie, Melissa offer him a race, to prove that he is the best driver. Player defeat her and enjoyed time with Samantha.
Caleb later on invite player to join his crew, refusing means you are rival to Caleb. Caleb thought that he killed Player in car accident, but turns out that aplayer survived. With Samantha help, he fly to Bayview and met Rachel. Rachel become our manager. The more we win, the more magazines want't us. Player have to defearlt Nikki Morris, which was member of Caleb crew. She later on, join player and rachel and help them with Caleb. Player defeat him. He one again prove that the we are best and unstopable.

I think it is relatex to Underground. There are 5 years gap between Carbon flashback and accual story after MW. There's a 5 year gab between the past-events of Carbon and your return, but this doesn't mean that the Player was the same in Underground...there isn't even a bit of a proof for this relation. In Underground the player appears to be completely new to the scene, day dreaming and doesn't even have car... Underground and Underground 2 are connected, a continued story but not with Most Wanted and Carbon - those have their own story. We know that some time passed until the player arrived in Rockport and we know some time passed until he returned to Palmont, even after leavin Rockport - cause Cross was doing business in Palmont before the player arrived and has a different hair cut, dread locks which requires long hair... Whatever happened in between can't be said, but for sure Underground isn't in it...it's not even mentioned in the NFS Book, even tho it's often different and questionable to the used story...if that questionable-content book didn't mention this crazy nfs fan boy thought why would EA consider it either? |
