Hi! I don't know if this is old news but while digging around TexEd I found some interior textures for the Acura Integra Type R. I am assuming you were able to see the cars interior. It is unused in the final release but it is interesting to see that this texture still exists in the game files.

That's the exact same Gamecube build i did a video on. My friend Damien that originally got the beta discs made that album. I actually did find it before and mentioned the album to him, to which he really didnt care if anyone other than me found the album. And it's not a demo. I and/or Damien also didn't write on the discs lmao, that's just dumb. Developers always write on beta discs with sharpie before sending them to publications and reviewers, in order to show what kind of version of the game it is, the name of the game, wether it's a preview or review build and which publication/name theyre sending it to.

I never understood why they put driveable traffic cars in the files, if it's just not to use them in the final game...

I never understood why they put driveable traffic cars in the files, if it's just not to use them in the final game... Because it doesn't make any sense to drive cars meant for ai (traffic) at first place. They probably have some drivable "template" (in the coding world it's a class but whatever..) And the traffic and car AIs fork from that to form their own "template". As for why... Well, the traffic cars have to have a realistic driving behaviour, and the AI is probably bound by the same physics. And you never know when a traffic car would get upgraded to a racer, and when a racer would get used as a traffic car. (or cop, or whatever) Grouping items that are common to all "cars" then makes sense in content reuse, where there is a default performance for the cars, with overrides. Kinda like default textures, which are fallbacks and the textures actually used when the game loads.

Drift Of Fish backwards - Honestly I have not much idea here. There was a racer named Fish seen in the 1st drift tournament or probably randomly named.

A.I. racers are not randomly named, they are presets. Fish has a brown Hyundai. Btw he is one of the opponents of the drift where we race for the 2nd rank at the end of the game, but he appears in other gametypes too
