Can somebody tell me where was it taken? First I guessed it could be the downtown place with jumps and pipes etc., but the buildings looks so far away and on the upper right it looks like a sea to me. But yes, thanks to dust we can see barely anything. Could it be that scrapped place or not?
There is no place like that in the game as far as I remember, the construction site downtown nor the freeway one. Ripley's point look like this. Not the beach either, no sand here. So it's either something I can't recall or a scrapped area. Hey, I found the golden meadows sign, hard to read tho. Look at the above road sign.
credit goes to denzirokira209 from the old forum, I realised i remember this stuff from there.

now that's some actual proof, the buildings on the distance aren't that far away, I'd suggest it's somehow related to the unfinished construction or E3 map differences. the cop car is blue and reflections are finished, therefore I think it's from a late build.

gotcha, in the current version it's replaced with Hodges Airfield. However it might just be a beta name for a bigger offroad area(mentioned above)

Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X. line 2790: The Most Wanted Car has been identified as the Mitsubishi Lancer EVOLUTION X and he will most likely be found driving near the Power Plant.<lf><lf>Watch out for his Most Wanted Tech, Black Ice TPP-327, a thermal plastic polymer which substantially reduces the friction of any surface or tyre that comes into contact with it.<lf><lf>If you lose sight of him you may be able to use your Thermal Vision to track his freshly laid tyre tracks. Power Plants refer to Ripley's Point.
I know this post is from waaay back. Wasn't an EVO X the first Most Wanted racer in the mobile game? Moreover you buy cars there, not like take them just so. Most Wanted cars actually have special vinyls, plates and whatsoever. There are these NFS edition cars or whatever they are called, they have better performance.
Now if the mobile game was supposed to reassemble the "big" game this shows clearly the "big" game used to have more customization than it had in the final form. Or which is more likely I'm overspeculating again. The EVO X thingy legit tho.
One more thing, if I won't count the Stingray. The first scrapped M3 GTR has a bit different livery than the final one from a DLC. So much lighter blue, plus different paint, looks like they used to use a full silver instead of clear white with some sliver lines.
I live for the night. I live for the lights. I live for the fucking highs 'till I'm free fallin'.
I have (somewhat) worked out how the car swapping works and what ID-s the cars go by.
also: I'm not copy pasting the whole text file I've made here just yet. memeboards for some reason lacks the tabulation option and therefore I would need to "fix" the text when entering it here.
also: the car changer somewhat works in the ver 1.5
however it crashes after 1 switch, atm I haven't been able to swap into any "special" car yet.
I may be able to help with this. A few months ago I wrote a car changer script that works client side only. Since multiplayer wouldn't allow cop cars or traffics, game would crash easily upon changing cars(mainly cop cars), so I wrote my own for this to work . I've yet to find traffic values , so maybe you could put this to better use. Script created using cheat engine, very easy to use. Enable script, then set value to the car ID and switch to a random car. (make sure its translated to a float value or just change byte type )
Heres the cheat table for carchanger and a .txt file of some Float IDs.

I've actually got rid of the problem since then, Vitaleks made a carchanger for 1.5.0 and it works perfectly. the car ID-s are 4 byte values, the same number as the car's file
Hmm.. just tried your traffic values and they work in easydrive, can see the name of the car but once you change car, black screen, same with activating my client side script. I saw a video from some Chinese guy who was able to drive the GMC truck with its top speed around 80 km/h... Guess ill try to write some type of hack to bypass it somehow.
chinks... it looks like he was able to make a _HI file for the truck That's something I was thinking of investing my time into but since I'm not that good at that type of stuff, I left it behind. for those who haven't got a VPN and some other shady shit to view the video, here's a shorter no-audio version:

I think, it's a some intro sequence or busted scene audio
maybe, it somewhat fitted with the beta intro.
It starts off sharply, you can hear some typin' and some quiet sirens. Then some type of action kicks in followed by stuttering chatter. You can hear "I think it's our guy" then some more nonsense followed with "I got em" "That's definitely our guy" with supposedly cops running. Action gets bigger, then you can suddenly hear a car rev, some static scream and then the thing stops and fades out with police sirens in the backround.
Beta in-game intro from HAWAII era? the filename suggests so. maybe something like: cutscene with this audio, when it ends you find yourself from the game escaping the cops. Then you get a call.
"Okay, let's see how you handle the heat I've brought down on you. Don't try to escape; I've activated the LoJack that Mia kindly put on your car to keep tabs on you. When it's on the police can find you wherever you go."
this is becoming interesting, I never really thought about that concept before.

I think it would make sense for the intro. It gives me an Undercover vibe to be honest. To me it sounded like, the cops had found where you were, you were sitting in some place just relaxing or doing some shit when you realize they've found you, and you start running to your car (0:30-0:31-ish), you get in and you start trying to escape. I'm guessing you get a call with the dialogue line you had (as the sounds fade out at 0:40), and at this point it's just a scripted cinematic showing your car escaping the cops and it starts zooming in to your car as it's about to give you control of it. Like Undercover's intro kind of.

Picture this pretty much :
Wouldn't surprise me if MW 2012 was originally Undercover-esque. The concept arts posted by hrjohn in the previous page would seem like they're from Undercover if it weren't for the name plastered on the arts.
This could fool anyone into thinking it's Undercover concept art.
I'm not that one asshole whose signature is bigger than the post itself.
Huh, I was wondering about that one too back in 2012 when I was completing all then unavailable songs off MW2012 on NFSSoundtrack (same with HP2010 pursuit music, that I expected to be played in the game), but gave up on this. Theory with it being some early intro is quite interesting and sensible, it kinda fits the "futuristic" intro atmosphere with all the noisy sounds.

Not a bad theory tbh, the last part is something I was thinking of. It might just be that originally the introduction sequence was much longer and you were driving an M3 GTR, escaping from the cops.

I really didn't pay attention to this back in the days, it was just a creepy audio file with an unusual ID number. I didn't even notice the engine revving until I decided to pay a little more attention to it (~3 days ago).

Well, this time IDs really give us some info about the "time" of file's creation (unlike Underground 2 and yes, I'm thinking about Development Diary by MW2011guy). Dead Sara's Weatherman has a little bit "smaller" ID, so was picked few days or weeks earlier (and since it appears in credits, this might be somehow a confirmation). HP2010 pursuit score with IDs being "tiny" too makes me think they were used earlier as a placeholder (hey, we got some police music, let's put it there) for pursuits and were already used or just to have some base files when they'd start making the game. It's kinda difficult to judge, why they kept this, because mostly it's just a garbage, however I wouldn't be surprised if this could be still activated and played during the chase. Developers surely didn't have enough time to clean the code and directories, but sometimes the decision is like "dunno if we use this, better keep it there" and I think it might be similar with pursuit score and even mysterious song.
you're reading my mind, they were probably used as placeholders and as we can see they decided to separate builds by (adding and removing almost 10K songs) adding a digit to the ID number. Therefore we can see that 5 digit audio was used in Alpha, 6 digit audio was used in HAWAII and 7 digit audio was used in the final build/version. I'll also leave the fact here that all HP2010 songs were 6 digit and there are no "leftovers" from anything.
The fact that it's all just there makes me think that they left it there intentionally. Silent message to show that their cool ideas were cut off? Something for people like us to find? There just isn't a normal explanation for this. Gotta go to next E3/gamescom or whatever place where I could talk to Craig, maybe he'll tell me something :/
